Lecture Series - Peptides and Proteins in Membranes: From Folding to Drug Design

November 4-8, 2019 - Riedberg Campus

We kindly invite you to hear the lecture series of Charles M. Deber from the University of Toronto at the Goethe University and the MPI of Biophysics. Professor Charles M. Deber is an extraordinary scientist in the field of peptides and membrane proteins with long term experience in science. To honor his outstanding career he was awarded with our TRAM Professorship 2019 by the PhD students of the SFB 807.

We are looking forward to his lecture series on ‘Peptides and Proteins in Membranes: From Folding to Drug Design’ in the week of the 4th to 8th November.

Monday (4th November, 2 pm, MPI BP 0.10) Opening lecture: ‘Membrane protein folding in disease state’ followed by a welcome reception with sparkling wine.

Tuesday (5th November, 4.30 pm, OSZ H6) ‘Targeting protein-protein interactions in membranes’.

Thursday (7th November, 4.30 pm, OSZ H6) ‘Design of membrane-active therapeutics’. BBQ with free food and drinks afterwards!

Friday (8th November, 2 pm, OSZ H6) Casual Friday: Students only lecture with cake and coffee.

We are looking forward to an exciting week of great science.
